Frequently Asked Questions

How is supply cost calculated in MENACE?
Supply Cost = Leader Base Cost (0/10/30 for 1★/2★/3★) + Squaddie Tax (6/13/22 per squaddie) + Weapon Cost × entities + Armor Cost × entities + Accessories. Discounts from perks like Economics 101 (-15%) and Flamboyant (-30% armor) are applied automatically. Formula source: official wiki.
Which Squad Leader is best for beginners?
Edwin Pike (2★) is excellent for beginners thanks to his 'This Is My Rifle' perk (-50% squad weapon cost). Charles Lim (2★) also performs well with high growth potential. Jean Sy (1★) offers -15% total squad supply — great for budget builds.
How does squad size affect supply cost?
Each squaddie adds a fixed tax (6/13/22 for 1★/2★/3★ leaders) PLUS multiplies equipment costs. Squad weapons scale with entity count: without a special weapon, the SL also carries the squad weapon. Max 8 squaddies per infantry squad.
What is the 'special weapon exception'?
When you equip a special weapon (RPG, mortar, sniper), the Squad Leader carries it instead of the standard squad weapon. This reduces the squad weapon entity count by 1. Armor still scales with the full entity count.
